Come, sing the Psalms.
Faithful translations of Scripture, shaped into rhymed and metered English lyrics and set to contemporary music.
Ancient words. New melodies.
The Psalms are inspired songs for God's people: songs of praise, prayer, lament, thanksgiving, trust, and hope. They teach us to know God, to bring our whole lives before him, and to worship him with heart and voice.
Pop Psalms are faithful renderings of these ancient songs, expressed in rhymed, metered English and set to contemporary musical styles.
The sound may be new, but the words are Scripture. And, because worship begins with God speaking to us, our response must be governed by what he has spoken. Our songs, therefore, must be faithful to Scripture, so that we may worship God in spirit and in truth.

The Beginning
Why We Make Pop Psalms.
We have treasured God’s Word, yet we’ve also struggled to remember it and live by it amid the noise, distraction, and competing voices of everyday life.
Pop Psalms began with an extraordinary biblical Hebrew teacher who taught us to memorize verses from the Psalms through song. Before long, those sung verses became a joyful and enduring source of courage and comfort.
God’s people have been singing the Psalms for millennia. We’re simply joining that long tradition, exploring how these ancient songs might sound in the musical styles of our own day.
We began making Pop Psalms to help us remember, sing, and live these ancient words. We pray the Lord will use them to write his Word on our hearts, so that what we sing becomes what we remember, what we love, and how we live.
